Ice Fishing
Trout Lake is known for rainbow and lake trout ice fishing. The fish
taste amazing right out of the cold, clean water. Take a short walk to our heated ice fishing house, or take your snowmobile on the lake and find a ‘hot spot’ of your own. Let us know if you’re interested in reserving the ice fishing house.
There is fishing for walleye, northern pike, smallmouth bass, and pan fish at Elbow Lake and Northern Light Lake. Both lakes are within a few miles of the resort.
Dog Sledding
Arleigh Jorgenson’s Sled Dog Adventures is just a few miles from the resort. You can choose to be the musher, or enjoy the view from the cozy, cushioned sled bag. Arleigh offers trips from an hour or two, to overnight trips where you choose to stay in a tent, a rustic cabin, or at Trout Lake Resort. Trips into the BWCA are also offered. Sled Dog Adventures
